I was a complete neophyte when it came to web design and Susan was a delight to work with. I was closely involved in the whole design process and found her to be totally flexible, open to my ideas and brilliant at making my books come alive. Susan designed the website Preen at the beginning of 2007.As a wedding hair and makeup service we were aiming the website at the high end of the market and something a bit different to the usual wedding hair and makeup. We discussed how we wanted to be perceived as a business and thought we should have an editorial edge and came up with the idea together that it should have the feel of a glossy magazine somewhat like Vogue or Tatler. She captured the feel perfectly and has definitely given us the edge over our competition. The clients who book us almost always comment on our website and say this is a big contributing factor as to why they came to us. We’re not too ‘weddingy’.
Our business is about engaging with people and creating a look for them that is personal and bespoke, they have to feel we have created the best look for them possible, the fact that Susan managed to convey what we do so well in the website shows her talent as a web designer. They have to be engaged enough by our website to want to contact us and in our first year of Preen we have had a really good amount of business and as we are just new and only really promote ourselves through The Scottish Wedding Directory and our website the website has played a huge part in this.

The service I receive from the earlybird continues to be of a very high standard. I had some ideas about the content of my website, but I wasn’t sure how I wanted the site to look. the earlybird took me through a variety of design ideas, and also designed my logo, fliers and business cards. Changes and updates to my site are made quickly- the earlybird makes having a website a completely stress free experience. I have received a number of positive comments from customers about my site and it has definitely helped me to promote my business.
Realising that, through the very nature of Myspace, a decent design was nigh on possible to achieve, after a google search I found Susan. My brief was to create a striking Myspace page for a music artist called Tori Beaumont that would stand out from the crowd. Within a couple of days we had one. Susan was a joy to work with, bringing great ideas and layouts to the table whilst listening to my ideas and working within the parameters of what we needed. The outcome was far superior to what I believed was possible and the journey towards achieving it was far more enjoyable than it needed to be. I have no hesitation in saying, if you want a great Myspace page, then look nowhere else! Thank you Susan, great work!

MySpace page looks great, good design and graphics, brilliant use of colour, an overall eye catching page exactly as i had imagined in my mind. It was a completely painless process, I explained exactly what it was I wanted and about a week later it was there online! Fantastic!
